Come and help us celebrate a unique piece of Wantage life by visiting our very special exhibition! Curated by local young people, this exhibition explores the fantastic story of our local youth club. Find out all about the amazing activities, trips, events and opportunities provided by this much loved local resource over the past 40 years. See how the times and fashions have changed, and what is planned for the future.
Free admission but donations welcome.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Day Trip to The Witney Blanket Hall

Join the Friends of the Vale & Downland Museum on a trip to The Witney Blanket Hall with a Tour, followed by a pre-ordered lunch. After lunch we will then journey on to Filkins, to the Cotswold Woollen Weavers where a talk has been arranged.
It is planned to leave Seesen Way, Wantage at 10.15am to arrive in Witney for an 11am tour. After the tour we will have our pre-ordered lunch. The coach will then take us on to Filkins and the Cotswold Woollen Weavers for a talk, you will then be free to wander around the 18th century building and visit the shop and/or the cafe for a cup of tea.
Hopefully we will be back in Wantage between 4.30 – 5pm.

Alfie Meets

Join Alfie Bear as he meets different objects and people from Wantage past and present.
Children will enjoy crafts, games and other fun activities.
Alfie Meets is run by the museum's Learning Officer Mel and her education team volunteers, to make learning fun!
These sessions are for under 5's, primarily aimed at 3-5 years but all under 5's are welcome to join in.
Suggested donation £1 per child.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
