What do the Friends do?

The Friends organise events throughout the year to raise funds for The Vale & Downland Museum. Activities include second-hand book sales, outings, talks and other fundraising events.

Where do the funds go?

The funds raised by the Friends go towards:

research and design of new museum displays and exhibitions
purchase of important artefacts which would otherwise be lost
equipment to help with the running of the museum

What’s in it for me?

As well as helping the museum, Friends get the opportunity to:

Learn more about the local area
Make new friends
Buy discounted tickets for trips, talks and other organised events
Access the photographic and library collections for research (by prior arrangement)
