The museum café is pleased to be able to offer a range of freshly prepared light lunches, including paninis, toasties and sandwiches, available to order between 10am and 2pm. Refreshments including, drinks cake and cream teas are available to order until 3pm.
Whether you’re visiting the Museum, or simply looking for a delicious lunch in Wantage, you’re welcome to our spacious Museum Café, where you’ll find freshly prepared delicious lunches and a selection of our homemade cakes!
Our food is also available to take away.
Outside seating is available on our terrace.
Well behaved dogs are welcome on our terrace. Dogs must be on a lead and stay off the furniture.
We have made some changes to reduce food waste and become more seasonal, which forms part of the wider museum plan to become more environmentally sustainable. Thank you for your continued custom and supporting both the café and museum.

The Museum hosts a number of regular groups in the Café. No charge is made to attend but we encourage users to make a purchase in the Café.
Opening Times
The Café is open Monday – Saturday 9.30am – 3.00pm (closed on Sundays & Bank Holidays)
Last Café food orders are at 2pm. Drinks, Cakes and Ice Cream served till 2:30pm.
Group Catering
We can offer catering for groups either in the cafe or to order and take away. Please enquire for more details.
