1066: Oxfordshire and the Norman Conquest - a light-hearted romp

Many of the key events surrounding the Norman invasion of Anglo-Saxon England in 1066 took place in modern Oxfordshire. Enjoy a richly-illustrated romp through an event which changed the country forever. From the both of a prince to the formal surrender after the Battle of Hastings, Oxfordshire frequently provided the background for the board-room take-over that was the Norman Conquest of England.

Join the Friends of the Museum for another fascinating evening talk, this time from speaker Julie Ann Godson.
