Letcombe Brook Beasties
–
29th July 2024
This summer we have partnered with the Letcombe Brook Project again to bring the very popular Letcombe Brook Beasties sessions back!
Project officer Jude will show children what creatures live in the Letcombe Brook, she will explain about the rare chalk stream and how important it is, as well as how we can all help look after it.
There will be six sessions over three days during the summer holidays:
Monday 29th July
Monday 19th August
Monday 26th August
Each day there will be a 10-11 and 11-12 session.
It is free to attend but spaces are very limited so it is essential to pre-book online or pop into the museum. These sessions book up quickly so don't miss out, get your tickets before they are gone!
These sessions are only suitable for children aged 5 years and above. Children under 5 will not be admitted.
Please note these sessions do NOT begin at the museum, attendees will need to meet Jude from the Letcombe Brook Project at the Willow Walk Community Nature Reserve (Wantage OX12 9EN) at the correct time for the session booked. A map is available when booking.
The children will not be going into the brook but there is a chance they may get wet, so please dress accordingly.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and a maximum of two children per adult please, this is to ensure children are safe around the brook and with live animals.
