A must-see event for history and poetry fans!
Vale & Downland Museum Curator, Suzie Tilbury, introduces a few of her favourite artefacts from Museum’s archives and explains their historical and local significance.
The Sheep Pens, a bunch of friendly poets who meet monthly at The Shoulder, will then present a lively mix of thought-provoking poems inspired by these objects. A fascinating and fun hour focusing on items ranging from a prehistoric mammoth’s tooth to an exquisite 18th century nutmeg holder.
Free to attend but must be booked in advance via Wantage Literary Festival. Bookings can not be taken at the museum.
This event is aimed at an adult audience.
