Join the Friends of the Museum on a day trip to Gloucester City on Tuesday 17th September.
There are plenty of things to see and do in the city, such as;
- Gloucester Cathedral 1000 years of architectural styles from Norman through Perpendicular to the present day. The extraordinary fan-faulted medieval cloisters and Great East Window are national treasures and the Lady Chapel houses some of the finest Arts and Crafts glass in the country.
- Museum of Gloucester charts the history of Gloucester including Iron Age artifacts, a
Roman kitchen, a medieval street scene and even part of the Eastgate wall built in the second
century. - Gloucester Docks
- National Waterways Museum an award-winning museum documenting the intriguing 200-year history of the docks and the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal.
- Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum, where you can look at army uniforms and even peer into a First World War trench.
- Gloucester Quays shopping centre where there over 50 stores for clothing to homeware.

Tickets must be booked in advance online or at the museum.
The meeting point on the day is Seesen Way bus stop, the coach will depart from Seesen Way at 9am and will return by 4.30pm.
Please note when booking you must provide a mobile number for each person* attending the trip and also the details of an emergency contact. This is required by the organisers and the coach company.
