Updated 9th December 2021
The safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff is our top priority at VDM and we have a number of new procedures to ensure the museum and cafe are as safe as possible. Our main aim is to ensure a visit to the museum is fun but also safe.
With ‘Plan B’ coming into force in England from Friday 10th December 2021, we have to reintroduce some of the procedures we have had previously.
Firstly, you must* wear a face mask when visiting the museum and café, only removing your face mask when sat down in the café eating and drinking. *Except children under 11 and medically exempt adults.
We have multiple hand sanitising stations throughout the museum, please use these when you enter the museum and as you make your way around the galleries, also when you leave the museum. There is a hand sanitising station in the café which you can use when entering and leaving the café area.
Children will as always need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Visiting the Café
The Café staff will all be wearing face masks and tables and chairs will be sanitised often.
It is now strictly table service only so please take a seat and a member of the café team will come over to take your order.
Please pay by contactless where possible.
